Troubleshooting Stripe Identity Verification Issues

If you’re having trouble completing the Stripe identity verification process, here’s how to resolve common issues and what to do next:

 

1. Common Issue: Stripe Error

  • If you encounter an error message while completing the identity verification:
    • Include any error codes or messages you received during the process.
    • Our team will help troubleshoot your issue.
    1. Refer to Stripe’s Support Documentation for detailed troubleshooting steps related to the error.
    2. If the issue persists, open a ticket with us for further assistance.

2. Common Issue: No Webcam Available

  • If you don’t have access to a webcam on your computer, you can hand off the process to your smartphone:
    1. Start the verification process on your computer as usual.
    2. Select the option to send a link to your smartphone via email or SMS.
    3. Open the link on your smartphone and complete the identity verification process there using your phone’s camera.

3. Common Issue: No Webcam or Smartphone Available

  • Unfortunately, without access to either a webcam or a smartphone, you will be unable to complete the Stripe identity verification process.
  • Since these devices are required for capturing and uploading your government ID securely, KOSIGN cannot proceed without them.
  • We recommend finding access to a device with a webcam or smartphone functionality to complete the process.
