At KOSIGN, royalty payments are issued promptly and on a predictable schedule, ensuring you have clarity and confidence about when to expect your income. You can read more about when and why royalties are paid this way here.
However there are some reasons as to why you might not get paid as expected. Please see a description of each below, and what you can do to make sure you avoid any issues going forward.
Payment issues
Bank account details
You need to ensure your bank account details are correctly entered into your KOSIGN profile.
-
Go to the Portal
- Log into your Portal
-
Navigate to the Account Tab
- Once logged in, go to the Account tab.
-
Review and Update Your Bank Account information
- In the Account section you’ll see a ‘payments’ section. When you click on ‘update bank details’, you’ll be redirected to stripe - our payment provider - to enter and confirm your details for royalty payment at the end of each accounting period.
You can also use the account page to update your personal details as described here.
No tax info (US only)
If you opted to be paid as a US resident you will have received an email asking for W9, which you’ll need to submit in order for us to be able to process your payment.
Balance below threshold
The minimum threshold for transferring payments each accounting period is USD$25. If the royalties we’ve collected for you is below that amount, we’ll pay them in the following run.
Third party errors (Stripe)
We use a third party provider to process payments each quarter. If you encounter any issues with the stripe platform, you can take a look at the ‘Stripe Connect’ FAQ’s here.
Hold Payment request
It’s possible that you or one of your team members have requested to hold one or more payments. If so, we’ll transfer the royalties due in the following payment.
