An IPI (Interested Party Information) is a unique ID assigned to you as a songwriter by your PRO (Performing Rights Organization) or CMO (Collection Management Organization) - for example ASCAP, BMI, or PRS
You do not need to be affiliated with a PRO or have an IPI number to register your songs with KOSIGN.
Affiliating with a PRO:
You can always choose to affiliate with a Performing Rights Organization (PRO) like ASCAP, BMI, or PRS directly.
If you affiliate later, please let us know so we can add it to your account.
Why PRO Affiliation is Essential for U.S. Royalties
While KOSIGN collects all your digital royalties and most international performance income, we cannot collect your U.S. writer's performance share without you officially affiliating with a PRO. Joining a PRO is the only way to ensure you maximize your total earnings and collect every dollar earned from radio and TV airplay in the United States.
Note: If you later choose to affiliate with a PRO and are assigned an IPI number, please send us a notification so we can update our internal records.
