I'm moving from another service. What are the steps to move my songs?

Moving your songs to KOSIGN is an easy process, but it’s important to ensure that you properly terminate your previous agreement and have all the necessary paperwork. Here’s a simple guide to ensure a smooth transition of your songs from another service:

Step 1: Submit Your Songs to KOSIGN

Start by submitting your songs through the KOSIGN portal’s submission tool. We’ll take care of preparing your songs for registration and getting them sent off for the next steps.

Step 2: Send a Notice to Terminate Your Current Agreement

Contact your current administrator to notify them of your intention to terminate the agreement. It’s important to give them any required notice according to the terms of your contract.

Step 3: Obtain an Acknowledgement of Termination

Once you’ve sent the termination notice, request written confirmation from your previous administrator. This should include acknowledgment of receipt and the official termination date — when the agreement will end. Be sure to keep this confirmation for your records.

Step 4: Wait for Your Songs to Be Registered

Once your songs are submitted to KOSIGN, we will begin the registration process. You likely won’t need to take any further action on your end. However, if we need a formal Letter of Relinquishment (LOR) from your previous administrator, we will reach out to you for that documentation.
